This one is what Graham has me use to satellite text him, when he is ready to move around or leave the (Guardian Angel) island. Seems very detailed

I have been thinking about installing a weathervane as a hood ornament. That way I could monitor the wind while driving, without any of those
electronic thingamajigs!

In baja sur I use two sources: windy and windfinder websites. They don't always agree...
I have seen that the windy website and windy app provide different results - the website seems to be better than the app.

I use the Windy website, but it is still just a forecast tool, and real time updates can be pretty slow. A few seasons ago it was still showing a
tropical storm moving up the Sea of Cortez for a half day after live news feeds were reporting that the storm had gone ashore on the mainland and fell
apart.

Windy.com is extremely user friendly as it is obviously very visual. You can pick a location then view all the forecast models together to compare.
GFS and NAM are generally the most accurate. You are also easily able to view satellite imagery, doppler, rain accumulation and cloud coverage, among
lots of other things. I pay for the premium version and also pay for the Windfinder app. Windfinder utilizes the NAM models for 3 day forecasts (named
"super forecast") and the GFS for the long term normal forecast.
In that pre-Google Earth and social media epoch, The Code was adhered to. It was based on a simple verity: if a locale had been transformational for
you, and you had put the hard yards in to get there and to learn it, to know it, why in god�s name would you broadcast the news, thus ruining the
future experience not only for yourself, but for future adventurers?

Predict Wind is really good for boating but you can only save two locations with a free account. You get a lot of info and includes wind, sea state,
