Tijuana crossing northbound

We attempted to cross at S.C. crossing but the police were out in force last Sunday mid afternoon forcing us on to Otay Mesa. What's this all about? Was traffic last Sunday that bad??? Is this going to be the usual thing from now on??? We saw alot of Federales on the trip North from Loreto, but we had no problems being stopped. The inspection stations were easy to go through, as we had our Vagabundo del Mar travel club magnetic signs on the doors, and just a few questions, and a quick peek in the pickup bed w/canopy and waived us on. Wendy drove the whole trip except for the first four hours for the first time. She was a trooper. Must be some kind of award for the spouses doing the driving for the first time, that I can't think of. Anyone know of one???? heh heh heh!!!!!! It can be done in two days to Oregon without being stupid. Long days, and very few "stops". Urgent Care at end of trip said pneumonia. So good thing we got out when we did. Slow recovery for old farts, so will be down for awhile. But not off the board. Everyone have a great Spring & Summer down there.

Otay Mesa

Took robably extra ten minutes to get to the back of the line at O.M. then maybe 45 minutes. I've been coming & going through TJ for 13 years now, off and on, with times through Tecate. First time for Otay. Kind of curious why this particular time and on a Sunday there was so much traffic. I thought we had this down to a science, and then this happened.
