Needing a Diesel shop in Ensenada? Laboratorio Diesel El Chino

Have heard about Chino, the owner of a small Diesel repair in Ensenada so I thought I would look him up. Never know if one will need a diesel fix, although my 2006 6.0 has had all of the upgrades and "bulletproofing" and I now have over 100K miles never a problema.
Very nice guy, the yard is FULL to the max with his jobs, so I assume he is popular.
He has all of the diagnostic tools and can basically take care of anything.
We asked him to generally quote a few prices for different repairs, and they were only about 1/3 the cost of a US repair...

Take a left (if you are going south) at the street just north of the ice plant that is across from the entrance to the Military airfield in Ensenada and go I block down. Its on the right

I have only heard of this shop and have had no experiences, but if in need of a repair South of the border Chino may be the ticket

Thanks for the concern :)

Yea the horror stories abound for the 03's up to about 05
Mine is an 06 (they stopped 6.0 at 2007 1/2)

I knew before hand what I was getting into, having a diesel background.

Bought a pristine, low mileage 2006 for a steal and great ARE shell, then put about $6000 into it to upgrade the OEM issues.

Now I have what is a GREAT low mileage diesel 4x4 truck for around $25,000

new diesels are 55-60K and cannot run high sulphur?

I think Im OK

But that's another story!
