Anyone know any fish markets in San Diego that carry corvina from the upper Sea of Cortez? Gracias

Hi Chris,
I have never seen corvina (or the unrelated but similar name corbina, croaker, etc.) in U.S. fish markets. I think there is some separation between sport fish species and commercial fish? I could be wrong and would like to know where these are sold, however!

seafood city.....amazing fish market in chula vista, perhaps?
or there's always the 6th st fish markets across the border :D

Seafood city only sells Jap yellowtail 5# or so. Best bet is Catalina Offshore Products. Maybe white Seabass is as close asylum love get. Call them.

Woody is correct - Catalina Offshore Products carries SOC corvina depending on what the supply is.
