Latest from Punta Final

New news from the management of Punta Final. Things that campers will no longer be allowed to bring into camp. No quads, three wheelers, razors, rhino's, or that type of vehicle, no motorcycles, dune buggies, jet ski type watercraft. There will be a limit of the number of campers allowed in the camp grounds. I hear the number is around 15 to 20 cites. No driving on the beach in front of houses. No fireworks. I hear these new rules are a result of many complaints from the permanent party that have homes there, of which I am one. After that last couple of years of the camp ground and campers with these type of toys getting out of control, I was told that this is necessary to return the peace and quiet that once existed in Punta Final. I am told that people will be turned around at the gate. I am also told that the enjoyment of Punta Final is also important for anyone wanting to camp there.

Excellent management decision!

Love that spot. When I was there I was one of three rigs. Seemed like just the right amount .
Not sure where 15 rigs would go without feeling a bit crowded.
It was wonderfully quiet in early January this year. Will be back there again in late december and I cant wait.
I think it was 240 pesos a night, does that sound right?

As an owner of many of the listed vehicles I can totally understand, most people have no respect for other peoples space or quit! They go to Baja and think there are no rules, it happens all over. Glad the owners are taking control and restoring the peace.

Where exactly is this place? I am guessing it is not the Punta Final at Gonzaga Bay. Thanks in advance!

Jizz,
People don’t like you and your recreational activity, because you are an inconsiderate buttcrack and your recreational activity is a rude abomination!

"It ain't your OLD Baja anymore.... "
Aucontraire -- the old Baja was without all the nuisance, noisy, polluting machines.
More news from Puntal Final appreciated - photos? Haven't been there in 30 years when there were no camping fees or gate.

You don't even go to Baja, so don't comment on it.

I'll be back in 2 weeks for my 3rd trip in 2 months. Cry some more, I can hear you all the way from that crap hole Kansas.

I posted this information for myself and the other homeowners that are trying to take our camp back. Spring break has been out of control for years. It's been a surprise that no one has died with all the madness and machines. Things change and the paved road has brought change. Some for the good and some for the bad. We at Punta Final except that and enjoy meeting campers from all over. We want people to enjoy what we have here, just be respectful. In a place where there is few rules, and I hate rules, there has to be some for the sake of all. The comment was right that the revelers are from Baja that make all the noise, leave all their trash everywhere, not all but a lot. I have a 30 year investment in Punta Final, and want to continue to enjoy the beauty, peace and serenity of this special place. Nine years is a long gap, life gets in the way sometimes. This is just information, take it or leave it for what it's worth to you.

So is all well with Kevin and the mess of past years? Is Don Briggs still active there?
Is the runway open?
Appreciate updates!
