Seen in BCS today

On our beach walk, we saw 3 Cara Caras hanging out with about 10 or 15 crows...they were very interested in something dead on the beach.

One snowy egret...never seen one on the beach before.

One Osprey, which I thought was watching over a hurt crow but after some thought decided that maybe he was waiting for the crow to die

A bunch of juvenile gulls.

Speaking of juveniles, we have only seen juvie brown pelicans this year....like maybe a generation got wiped out:no:

What did you see in Baja today?

what I saw

I woke up, got a cup of coffee, looked at your pictures of baja, closed my eyes and felt the warm breeze then realized I was late for work and nowhere near baja.

You seem like the kind of guy we need here. Nice compliment for a couple of guys who do know what Baja is all about--the people and the sun--rise or set or both.

My smidgen of a claim to fame is that I have had so many really good friends. By Bernie Swaim December 2007

It's all worth it to someone; like me, for example.
You help us wanna-be-in-Bajas feel the feel until we can be there again.
Keep em coming Judy !

THANKS FOR SHARING !!

Today I didn't get the opportunity to see anything in Baja in person, but a day doesn't pass that I don't find myself somewhere in baja mentally.

"Guess where I just was?" is a question that we ask each other almost every day. This question can come at any time, depending on the wanderings of one's mind.

I was in San Francisquito at one time today, as well as a section of the Score Tecate 500 race course that we camped out at in June.

An hour ago I got an email from a dear friend of ours. His mother just passed away yesterday while he was in Baja. When reading his message I found myself around Mia's campfire sharing stories of a strong woman who raised four tough boys, and then remembered Thomas who is also greatly missed.

Pompano, regarding your CNN comment, we have what we call "The Dolphin Channel" in Bahia. We open the door of our trailer every morning and watch the dolphin channel from the comfort of our bed. If it's a really good show, we throw on clothes and run down to the beach to get a front row seat. In the summer months when we sleep up top on the deck, we watch the Pelicans fly in formation then turn over on our bellies to watch the dolphin channel come to life.

Sometimes you don't have to physically be IN baja to be in baja. It's in your heart always.

Here's a photo of our daughter Cody on her way to a front row seat.
