Todos Santos area camping

We'd like to find a camping spot for a couple of nights in the Todos Santos area - along the beach would be our first choice - We'd prefer not a commercial campground, and are open for suggestions. We'd be there in the mid-May time period.

Second option would be a hotel/motel - I think the Hotel California is more than we'd like to spend.

Suggestions or recommendations or other options considered.

The Todos Santos hostel in town has a backyard area that is very nicely planned for a few campers. Great kitchen, showers, and they provide drinking water. On the other side - Playa Arbolitos south of Cabo Pulmo is great for camping. $3/nt. Showers, kayak rental, snorkeling. Caretaker's residence is there, but only a handful of people come during the day, and over the 3 nights I stayed there, only one other camper. Roosters in the AM, hiking.

Playa La Pastora is free but depending on time of year may have a lot of surfers, its a huge beach though so plenty of room

make sure to check out the Green Room restaurant next door, some of the best food in baja!

Playa San Pedrito in Pescadero. Many campers boondocking now but by May there will be lots of room.

Thinking the same thing. N. end of Pedrito. Look for Pescadero Palace sign N. of Pesky. Hostel in Todos for an upgrade. Life is good here.
