A New visitor - meet Frida (Kahlo)

So, we noticed a cat slinking around the yard and took no notice except that Les mentioned that she was hanging inside a box we covered our water pump
with.

Some days later he tells me, there was a cat in the garage.

Next day he says: Looks like she had kittens in there!

Well, come to realize that she had the kittens in the outside box for the pump but they outgrew it so she brought 6 kittens into our garage. I have
never had a kitten or SIX kittens before so I am besmotted. smitten. if they stayed this small, I could absolutely keep them all!

Meet one of the kitties

Oh my gosh, I do consider myself lucky! Momma Cat is so friendly, she is gaining weight and meows when she is hungry, meows when she wants in or
out, she is a good communicator.

The babies are still skittish and I don't pick them up, Les does and then hands them to me LOL I just don't have experience with little itty bitty
kitties.

My greatest fear is that I will not be able to give them away because I will be so smitten by them. They are so beautiful and playful! Right now
they think the litter box is a toy box. One of them has started eating Mom's food. Since we have no idea how old they really are, I presume nature
dictates when they start eating cat food. All of them seem to like water.

I am thrilled beyond anything because there is a rumor that one of my English students from way back when is here in town. He became a vet and I
helped his family out one semester when they were having a hard time financially even though the dad is in the fishing cooperative which means student
Donaldo got financial aid thru the coop. Now he can help me fix all 7 cats so we don't have an overpopulation. I love how the world goes round and
round.

More photos coming soon - stay tuned.

They also need shots. I need a crash course in kittenhood. Actually, I am going to ask FEATHERS if she will help me!

WhatsApp me anytime Blanca, i fostered orphan puppy litters for years and it’s sorta the same with kittens.
I would check their poop for worms. If they’re eating the mama’s food then they can be dewormed and that would be all I would worry about for now.
Congrats, isn’t it fun!

Lol..it’s not as bad as it sounds Blanca 😂 just a liquid medication to kill the worms that steal nutrition from kittens and puppies...

Warriors indeed!

A long time friend of mine was relocating from Yuma, back to the Bellingham area, and spent some time visiting me here in northern California.

Her cat (about the size of Freida) gave birth in the closet of the guest room while she was here! She very quickly let my ninety pound bully breed
know that the nursery was off limits to dogs!

It was a long time after they left before Bailey would go in that room again!

If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!

That really is a great story!

So, today Frida brought in a bunny (which is so hidden Les cannot find it to remove it) and a groundhog. Feathers tells me she is bringing home
presents for us.

All the kittens are eating cat food so Les will look for kitty food, something softer since they have a hard time chewing Mom's food.

They love water.

They get cuter by the day!
