Proud day, been taking the kids to Baja since they were two; just bought my oldest his first Baja ride
Looking forward to many years of trips together.

Congrats, good choice on the Tacoma. Why not a long bed?

Your son better keep your lawn mowed and gutters clean for a few years.

I don't think the mid-size truck 4 door crew cabs have the long bed option. We really liked the Tacoma, unfortunately not driver friendly for a 4'11"
woman - can't get the seat high enough to see over the dang hood. We ended up with the ZR2 Bison.
TRD Pro is a sweet trim!

My oldest will be happily settling for a hand-me-down 2012 F150 when I get my electric one in a few years.

Wasn't about to give him my Silverado 2500HD LTZ.
He drove a beater 2001 Tahoe through HS. This is his present for getting a scholarship to Michigan State in the degree he wants to pursue. Should
last him a good 7-10 years.

Last year I bought a twenty year old Isuzu Trooper because my eighteen year old Kia wasn't up to another Baja run. I really like it, and it has a few
more years left in it!
I am working on the Kia now because it is fun to drive, and gives me great smiles per dollar! It has the added feature of being 'disposable' if
things go really wrong.
If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!
"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!

Good for you JZ and good for your son. My sons first vehicle was a 1984 GMC 4x4 when he was 16. At 18 when he graduated from HS I bought him a new
Toyota PU plain Jane just for his job. Within a year a new 1988 Toyota 4x4 4cyl with 5 manual. When he went into the Army I got the Toy 4x4. He spent
23 yrs in the Army retired as a WO4 and lives in CO with more toys than I ever dreamed of.
