Should have been optional in April of 2021 (vax available), if not May 2020 when we determined who was at risk and who wasn't.

It was criminal that the govt. didn't tell people cloth masks were totally worthless and to use a surgical mask at a minimum and really an N95 if you
were a person at risk.

Yes, gnukid, no need to shout, you already posted the information. Some people choose to wear masks in public venues, regardless of whether they are
required or not. And any business can choose for its employees to wear masks. I would give my business to those places, in appreciation of them erring
on the side of caution, before patronizing a business that didn't.

People can choose to stay home, isolate alone, wear masks, and of course globally people may go out without masks, inside or outside. However, you may
see stores requiring you to remove facemasks to enter because it creates a security risk.

 For example:

Incorrect. There are still mask mandates in some countries and in some places, like hospitals.

And of course there are times and places where the mask has to be briefly removed for security purposes. Even when airports and airlines required
masking, passengers still had to remove them briefly at the boarding gate to ensure the passport photo matched the passenger.

People will continue to get colds and fevers which is largely related to personal behavior, diet, exercise, fresh air, rest and sunshine.

Sorry bro, mandatory wearing of mask isn't the new norm.

Back when I was a firmware engineer going to work with the flu instead of calling off was very much appreciated. Keep working, build new things.
Help grow the business.

We always just distanced from each other when sick.

 Stop being so damn soft.

People who go to work sick, exposing others to whatever they have, is the height of disrespect for others. Not surprised you think it's admirable.

Not content to simply not give FF about anyone but yourself, you take it a step further and make fun of those who are forced to take precautions to
protect themselves from self-absorbed a-holes like you.

Distancing. Do you not understand that concept?

These days you can stay home and work remote. And that is better.

In the olden days you'd be a loser to call in sick for a week. I don't think I missed a day of work from being sick for 15-20 years straight, except
for a couple hangover days and one time catching the butt flu on a flight back from Paris. That was rough.

No, in the "olden days" people were expected to stay home from work and school when they were ill instead of exposing their co-workers and fellow
students and teachers to whatever they had.

Better for productivity for one person to be off sick than five more they infected.

It was the prevalence of antibiotics and over-the-counter "remedies" that masked the symptoms, but not the ability to infect others, that suddenly
made people think they could carry on as if everything was normal.

Not everybody is a typist/word processor/keyboard button pusher. Not everybody is a useless twat on a keyboard. Some people have real jobs like in
construction, manufacturing, medicine, public service, law, teaching, military, etc.

If you REALLY want to "follow the science" then view this video-

He was big advocate of masking until "the science" came out.
