Are you saying the fastest Baja 1000 racers will be in Ensenada next Sunday early in the morning?

Late friday night could be possible, probably early Saturday AM.
The schedule is not precise.
Biggish rain expected in san diego wed to friday… wonder how much rain northern baja will get? Might slow things down….
Woke!

Bikes leave the La Paz start line at 1 AM Thursday morning. The usual calculation is average speed of 50 mph, = 26 hours. That puts the first rider
across the finish line Friday morning around 3 AM (ish) barring any weather events, that is.....

Rain might speed things up. Wet sand is great for bikes and no dust would make for better competition.

The other negative factor could be they'll be racing for approximately 14+ hours in the dark.. this'll slow them down a bit. No helicopters to spot
for them during darkness, and if it gets stormy, that too will limit any helicopter time in the air. Weather forecast looks okay at the moment
though.

Rain forecast is for northern San Diego county. Ensenada possibly a little mist.

Details found here:

Top racers, bikes included have heli's spotting for upcoming hazards and situations including booby-traps, 10 years ago, Nov 15, Kurt Caselli #66 died
after his chopper went for fuel.... no eyes in the sky and he hit a coyote... He was in the lead and expected to win.
Confirming the race starts Thursday at 1 AM in La Paz
Hope you get some pics to post here. I'm stuck at home this time and wishing I was there.

I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since Kurt passed. I was on the course a few miles south of where that happened doing a pit for THR/Kawasaki
with my amigo Pat. Time flies.

Score has predicted a finish time of 27 hours 18 minutes for the bikes. That would put the first rider crossing the finish line at 4:20 AM.
I think there's a time change at Baja Sur and Baja Norte state line, whereas Sur is an hour ahead of Norte?
So, if I'm correct, the 04:20 AM finish time is Baja Sur time and Baja Norte (Ensenada) time would be 03:20 ?

Compliments of @Strong Bad for posting this.
The top TT's are anticipated to have a time of 21 hours 51 minutes! Arrive in Ensenada 06:50 (or 05:50 local time???)
In any event, the estimated time charts will help in setting up in areas that have daylight for photos...
