I do not have the coordinates but is on the edge of the large wash about a mile or two from Rancho Nuevo.
If you 'start' at Rancho Nuevo and follow the road south from there until it 'T's at a large wash it is right down in the wash from there.

That OnX GPX file is empty. (Note that it's only 350 bytes long.) It has all the GPX wrapper stuff, but no actual data.

I asked for clarification about the kiln and waterhole [with my notes and ready to plug in numbers]:
The waterhole is at N28degrees 13.5064minutes
by W113d 21.5534m [ 28°13.5064', -113°21.5534' ]
You will see trees and stone corrals on Google Earth. We will be shifting a few of the waypoints in this area to match what we have found.
The kiln is at N28d 15.8920m by W113d 26.8598m [ 28°15.8920', -113°26.8598' ]
It is the same kiln in Crosby’s book.
[I can't find any kiln photos in The King's Higway or the other books...?]

Crosby spends a paragraph or two talking about the Kiln, but no pictures....
I posted a picture in Failed ECR Hike post, but for some reason all those pictures are gone....

John, Are you certain the photos you posted actually were ever visible on the website? When resizing photos so that BajaNomad can except them, I have
found it necessary to make sure the image size is below 342kb and also that both the width and height of the image are below 1600 (whichever is the
larger, width or height, just set it to below 1600 and the other measurement will automatically be taken care of at the same time). I have found
resizing a jpg easy to do by right clicking on the image and selecting 'resize image', then making the adjustments as necessary (when saving it,
change the name so that the original higher resolution image is not overwritten and lost).

If the photos were there and then later disappeared, perhaps it could mean that the website photo size requirements changed, for smaller photos, and
this caused the automatic deletion of previously posted photos that did not meet the new size requirement. If this was the case though, I would expect
more photos to have disappeared and the event to have been previously discussed on the forum.

Crosby says it was for lime.....maybe there is a mission nearby?
What is odd is it doesn't show signs of use in the pit itself. Some of the rocks stacked on edge looks like they were exposed to heat, though.

In your photo, I see what looks like it could be evidence of fire on the stacked rocks, but I don't see that same look on the rock wall below the
stacked rocks. Maybe the stacked rocks could have been exposed to fire before they were put in place at their current location.
There are a number of lime kiln images online from the Spanish colonial era. They all seem to show strong evidence of fire, which I don't see in the
images of the artifact in this thread.
