SST anomalies, Baja ocean water is 'boiling' hot; and El Nino is predicted to form, active hurricane season may be coming!
Ocean water is cooking...

A transition from La Niña to ENSO-neutral is expected in the next month, with ENSO-neutral favored through May-July 2026 (55% chance). In June-August
2026, El Niño is likely to emerge (62% chance) and persist through at least the end of 2026... https://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/analysis_monitoring/e...
will make for more interesting fishing in socal...
And some predicting a 'super' or 'godzilla' el nino...
Science!

My former employer has been using the phrase "human-caused climate change" for decades, and they provide data to support these claims.

MAGAs deny clearly and scientically proven human-caused climate change for a very simple reason. They refuse to accept it because that would mean to
be a responsible, caring human on this planet, they would have to make changes to their lifestyle, give up some of their toys, and feel guilty for not
doing so. They do not care about collective good, they care about themselves.
It's easier to just claim "the climate has always been changing" as if that is relevant, ignoring proven evidence that the rate, nature, and extremity
of climate change is the point and clearly the result of human activity.

Still time to consider getting that backup generator checked out and upgrade your windows protection. Might also be a good time to consider installing
that solar backup system. Panel costs are falling rapidly, and cheap well built all-in-one inverters flooding the market, some 6 kw with auto start
out for generators for under 2,000 bucks now. 20 kwh batteries for under 3500.

You might need to alter your reckless accusation, since every time I post something you disagree with you call me a MAGA.
The fact that there is a prolonged warming trend on the planet is proven by the fact that the world's glaciers have been drastically receding for more
than the last fifty years.
"The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports that human activity is responsible for nearly all of the warming since 1950. Activities
include burning coal, oil, and natural gas, along with deforestation."

cupcake- We should be happy it is warming up. The alternative is less desirable. Who wants icebergs in Cabo? Not me!
But alas, eventually Cabo will be covered in ice. And not the kind that wears green uniforms.

I'd take the warming up here if it didn't come attached to a drastic increase in wildfires and droughts. Now we have to cut down all those shade
bearing trees we loved to live among. Not having to shovel snow is a bonus tho. Maybe we should all move underground and let the fires sweep over us?

Good movie theme!
