Wow. What a calm and clear presentation and amazing that they got so much on film. Hopefully just a matter of time, sooner rather than later, before they nab the guy.

Camp Gecko!

BDLA generates crime stories. Perhaps there is something in the water…

Woke!

Hands off!

So is the girl friend another victim, or a fugitive on the run? It sounds like she is linked to the Jeep that surely must be an evidence source.

It sounded to me like the tweaker had no link to Baja.

A tragic event and so lucky the stabbing didn't cause more harm to the victim.
About the crash site: How did the Jeep get removed so quickly, by whom? That curve is about 2 miles from town. Of course the video doesn't say when they were examining the site. It may have been a week after. Why no photos or video of the wreckage, just two miles from Camp Gecko? Was Doc not around? We saw him driving around Gecko when we were checking it out on May 16.

Why no photos or video of the wreckage?
I think she said they passed it on their way to the clinic which is why they knew it was wrecked. And around midnight. Yeah, since an evidence source, maybe she (owner) had it towed right away before they left town. I read a Talk Baja partial comment said "last seen trying to get a ride out of BOLA". (I haven't read any other TB comments if there are any, because I've been banned from that site ... for calling someone a snowflake.) But I hope the victim sends their video to US law enforcement. Alex's truck has California plates. He's had time to cross into US.

In that pre-Google Earth and social media epoch, The Code was adhered to. It was based on a simple verity: if a locale had been transformational for you, and you had put the hard yards in to get there and to learn it, to know it, why in gods name would you broadcast the news, thus ruining the future experience not only for yourself, but for future adventurers?

At that point I imagine their focus was on getting the injured man to the hospital, asap, rather than stopping to take photos or videos of the disabled vehicle.
