Lurking no more
Hi Nomads, my first post! I have been lurking for about a year and a half. I COULD NOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO POST! A second email address by my wife,
plus being a computer idiot was my downfall. I enjoy most the baja trip reports. When I first enter this site, I read a report of freediving south of
Enesanada in the early 1950's. What a great story, what a great time it must of been. I will be making my 32 trip down in June, with my 14 year old
daughter, for about 24 days, camping on the east cape. I have been enjoying La Ventana the most, since Ensenada de Muertos have been changed to Bay of
Dreams. I camped there for 25 years. I have never flown down, always drive with some kind of boat for fishing , surfing, and diving. More posts on the
way, keep up the trip reports. Ron Perry, 22ft Bayrunner CC, baja fool

Hi Ron,
How is La Ventana in the summer ?
I hear it's not as crowded as winter and inhabited mostly by weekend or week-long mainland and Baja mexicans ???
They put in a third bathhouse last summer - brand new !
We visited Los Muertos and to the old Punta Arena Hotel in February. Los Muertos is pretty gucci but they still let us launch our boat - no problem.
That bay is absolutely georgeous.
The pangeros at the old hotel were fishing the inshore reefs and came back with hundreds of pargo.
I hear the old hotel grounds have also been purchased by the Los Muertos developers. They have a few RV's set-up there and are using the airstrip on
the road in towards the old hotel.

I'm also a new member. Been lurking for a few weeks. I was going to buy a place in Puerto Penasco but after reading this forum along with my own
personal gut feeling I decided to hold off. There is alot more of Mexico to explore first!
Great board! Look forward to becoming apart of the community.

Dear Braulio
please, don't be too ironic or sarcastic and you should cover up that scary smile - you are going to scare off the fresh meat.
