Thanks Diver... Yes, they are very well done!

I have offered to have Doug sell them on the Tienda Baja Nomad, otherwise I will post an address to send your checks to. There are requests for 78 hats in this thread (so far)!

I should have the details in the next two days of where to send your checks and for how much...

Thanks again for the suggestions everyone... the hat reflects your input!

The first production batch will be ready sometime this week, so no long delays to send out the first orders we receive, and the following orders should be easy to fill in the next week or so...

Viva Baja!

HERE are the details (8-9-06):

Send your CHECK or MONEY ORDER with your name and address printed on a seperate note to:

DAVID KIER

P.O. BOX 621

SAN LUIS REY, CA 92068

Hats sent postpaid are $20 U.S. each (U.S., Canada and Mexico)

'got baja?' hats do come from Baja, please allow reasonable time to receive your hats...

GOOD NEWS for early orders: I am picking up the my first order this FRIDAY (8-11) and will be shipping out to those of you who get their orders to me, as soon as I receive them!

Those who are not among the first to order can expect their hats to be sent out within 2 weeks following receipt of their order....

I know you will enjoy showing off your 'Baja spirit'!

I will also be happy to add a 'got baja?' bumper sticker to each box I ship out!

Dude!

A thousand pardons for my lack of appropriate seriousness (we're talking about group identity here, for heaven's sake), but I have been rolling on the floor during this entire thread. Seems just so... Californian.

Ahhhh..... my friend, you have picked up on the intention of the post with a keen ear for sarcasm.

This is a Classified Ads forum for Miscl. Baja Items being offered for sale... I think if I or Baja Andy were giving hats away for free, we could do that on the General Baja Discussion Forum...

How about keeping this thread about the 'got baja?' hats... They are already designed, and I showed you the final version. So, the only other posts here should be regarding ordering questions... right?

The cost of the hats is known... What I am trying to discover is how much will the price of shipping and handling be... STAY TUNED!

David, when you get the price together maybe you could start a new thread so we don't have to keep reading all the stuff here. It would be easier for us who don't want to read everyones elses orders? I know some one will pick on me for this so I have at it

Some of us really want the hats. If some don't, that's fine.
This thread was posted for those that want the hats for whatever reason.
I enjoy meeting others with Baja interests and these hats will help those that want to be identified, meet other like-minded individuals. And no, I'm not normally a "joiner", just in love with Baja.

Hope you are really enjoying yourself, Lencho.
Maybe too much sauce ?? Or not enough ?? Just bored ??

Okay guys... yes, I will start a new thread in this Classified Ads Miscl. Baja forum as soon as I have the firm price. I think I have U.S. price figured... For those of you in the 'Promissed Land' (ie. Baja California)... or 'the other B.C.' (in Canada), I need to check a couple more sources...

Lencho, yes I was aware of that web site and no, it is nobody I know.

As Diver understands, this is all about good fun and showing off that we are infected with 'Baja Fever'!

'got humor?'

Don't misunderstand me, but I'm sure no one on the Nomads(with the obvious exception) cares. I do think it would be good ideal for Dk or Doug to pick-up. That would make my first line irreverent:lol::lol::lol:
Thank you Larry for that.

Pardon my ignorance, how long is a trademark good for and how does abandonment work? They just don't renew it, or is it an overt act?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trademark

"Trademarks rights must be maintained through actual use of the trademark. These rights will diminish over time if a mark is not actively used. In the case of a trademark registration, failure to actively use the mark, or to enforce the registration in the event of infringement, may also expose the registration itself to removal from the register after a certain period of time.

"All jurisdictions with a mature trademark registration system provide a mechanism for removal in the event of such non use, which is usually a period of either three or five years. The intention to use a trade mark can be proven by a wide range of acts as shown in the Wooly Bull and Ashton v Harlee cases.

"In the U.S., failure to use a trademark for this period of time, aside from the corresponding impact on product quality, will result in abandonment of the mark, whereby any party may use the mark."

http://www.uspto.gov/main/glossary/index.html#ABAND

An application that has been declared abandoned is "dead" and no longer pending. Abandonment occurs under several circumstances. The most common reason is when the USPTO does not receive a response to an Office Action letter from an applicant within 6 months from the date the Office action letter was mailed. Another instance is when the USPTO does not receive a Statement of Use (or request for an extension of time to file a statement of use) from an applicant within 6 months from the issuance of a Notice of Allowance.

Thanks oldjack and fishuntr...

For those of you who made requests in this thread... You all together have requested 85 hats! Get ready, because....

Hat Prices will be posted tonight, as soon as I confirm with Doug about having them sold on Baja Nomad and the final price... I will start a new thread in this forum with the price.

Good news on the cost of shipping to Canada and Mexico (air mail was better than ground), plus all U.S. orders will be sent Priority Mail (it actually was the best deal).
