Tienda Baja orders
Well, I can now say that I have completed a most satisfactory transaction with the above named mercado.
Doug, thanks for prompt attention (and for the little personal note on the invoice- also you did not hold my check very long, guess you are confident
it will not bounce all the way back to Central California)
And, the t-shirts are waaaayyyy coooooolllll,
Muy suave, amigo!!
(the only bad part was that Baja Vida swooped in and scoffed one up, right in front of my eyes.)

Tienda Stuff
Well,
The mistake I made several weeks ago was to bring attention to wanting T-shirts from the tienda.
Some speedy guy who managed to get the site to work scooped the last two Fat Guy T-Shirts (XXL)....
After waiting to see if they had restocked the shelf since then, I have resorted to making my own.
I now am the proud owner of a T-shirt reading "I had to make my own Baja Nomads T-shirt", and look forward to being spotted with it between Dec 18 and
Jan 20th while doing my dirtbike tour.

Hey, I'm a fat guy who needs XXL. When can I expect to see more on the Tienda shelves?

I've been chided repeatedly about not having enough XXL and for also not having any XXXL available.
Rookie mistake.
I don't have the room necessary to inventory another "full" order from the supplier yet, so need to sell some more of what I already have here. Kind
of a "catch 22" of sorts for me.
And yeah, I know, there's no picture of the shirts in the Tienda. Here ya' go:

Beach Secret
Rivergirl,
That spectacular setting is San Francisquito.....it is on the Sea of Cortez and can be reached by rough roads by driving south from Bahia de los
Angeles or by driving northeast from Vizcaino via El Arco.
It is worth the trip without a doubt. Wonderful desert variations in the area and some spectacular beach south by El Barril fishing village.
March/05 the palapas were $25/night and have several large and comfortable cots w/ blankets in each palapa. There is usually gas available, and a
basic restaurant with simple fare and beverages. The bathroom facilities are also basic and my experience on different trips led me to believe that
IF the showers worked, the water was cold and brackish....rustic and primo
The management seems to change from time to time and last time I was there, the "honour" system of keeping a tab was no longer in effect.

Thanks so much for sharing your beach secret. That is a beautiful beach! It will
diffently go on our list to see in the future but until our youngest gets a little older we will mostly be sticking to the pavement. (he just turned
3yrs. old)
I sure hope we get to go south this winter, I keep looking at all of our beach photos from Mulege.
