i will be travelling to the ensenada area on saturday and returning on tuesday. what do you think the drive home will be like on tuesday?
i drove to ensenada on saturday of thanksgiving weekend. the traffic was backed up from the big hill all the way along the border fence. so i kind of
talked my brother into trying the new B2000 when he left on sunday. it didn't go well. he experienced the longest trip of his life. six hours after
he left i called him to see how he LOVED the new B2000, figuring he would be home in bed by then and he was just then cutting through a scary part of
tijuana trying to get to san ysidro. he had toured all of the border crossings trying to cross and over 8 hours later, arrived home in orange county.
its a great story with all the details. not sure when he will try the B2000 next. i plan to on tuesday after christmas, of course, i will have all of
notes from the nomad posts.

Campeche is really nice. Also, while it has grown tremendously over the last few years, Merida is beautiful. On the weekends downtown is
great----lots of plazas with lots of music, great place to walk around.
Also, some of the smaller ruins in that area are fun.
For us?
Have to stay home for the holidays need to deal with physical therapy---then we are off to Baja and then the mainland----But we can see Tijuana from
here and it is beautiful in Imperial Beach in December.
Also sad because one of my favorite Holiday Seasons was in Oaxaca--- a magical city on Christmas, and now it is mess---I hope it recovers soon.

Heading to Ens. for Christmas, stopping to visit a few friends, delivering pizzas along the way. A special Sweet 15 party in Bahia on the 27th, then
the traditional dance on the 31st.
Some things never change. That's a good thing.
Happy holidays all!

Ditto for me. I had knee surgery today and will be doing physical therapy through the holidays. On the positive side though - our baja summer vacation
will be more enjoyable next year.

Capt. Mike,
I'm not sure if I can, as my camera is not working real well. Is the pcture in the El Cortez Motel or Barefoot Bar? I do not go there much(in fact for
quite a long while now)so was not really aware the hotel had a bar other than The Barefoot? How soon do you need it?

Hopefully, I will be in Baja sooner and it will be nice to hike around with far less pain. Hope your recovery is QUICK. Don't overdo! The day after
surgery I was up too much---knee still full of pain killers and I felt great---a little vicodin helped. Anyway, I slowed the recovery down with my
stubborn stupidity---
When I questioned my therapist as to why my son recovered so quickly from similar surgery when he was 25, she just looked at my 60 year old overweight
body and smiled.
Have a good holiday. Baja SOON
