But then:

What do the Raiders have to do with football? ;)

 Not much this year. Their offense has been very offensive.

I like the Chargers. I saw them play early in the year and they looked so sharp and they executed their plays like they were a machine. They have a great team this year.

It's sad to see the current state of my beloved Raiders. My grandparents were the 25th season ticket holders ever of the Oakland Raiders. This was the first year in my families history that we did not get season tickets. (with the exception of the LA years) I guess we picked a good year to stop going.

I really think they should let us play the Lions next year for Thanksgiving. It's the only hope for Lions fans. We are the new Lions it seems.

Just for all you Raider haters. Here is a picture of some of the evil fans around my old seats. Last row at the 50 yrd line baby!

Why the Raiders are losers and I won't pay to see and NFL game ever again.

After putting up with years of miserable results, and "stars" like Ryan Leaf, and others, its great to finally have a winning team.

What you cannot see in the picture is the Charger fan on the ground getting poked in the face with Grandma's cane, while the other Raiders fans encourage her. I guess the Raider Nation has a pretty broad demographic....

Bob H....

...Sorry, you should know that the 'real' name of the team is:

The Stockton Chargers....

A.G. (Alex) Spanos, the owner lives up here in mid-town Stockton and flys his big aircraft out of the Stockton Airport to the games each week - he brings VIP's along for the ride!

He has a nice, but unpretentious, home in a nice part of the city, and has hosted many Republican Political big wigs over the years, as they swing through Northern California. He's also a big contributor to The College of the Pacific, and many other local community projects.

I guess my point is, that he's an all-around good guy, and it's good to see 'his' Chargers playing so well this NFL Season!

Merry Christmas to all you 'Nomads' out there...and I'm going to sit back and enjoy the next couple week's worth of non-stop football games till my eye's bug out!!!!:O

The old lady in pink? She is a 49er fan. ;)

The only people in our section that ever got into fights were married to each other.

I can hardly wait for those Bears to get their paws on them Chargers! It ain't gonna be pretty.

That being said I wouldn't be against the 49'ers somehow acquiring Thomlinson.

Actually I hope that the chargers DO win the superbowl this year. I'm tired of watching teams like the patriots year after year. The people in SD have waited long enough. They're due.

1989 was the best year. Twins won the World Series ...and the Vikings came THIS CLOSE to winning the Super Bowl. Hail the north country! Southern teams are so-so.

I lived in San Diego during much of the '90s. I used to watch the Chargers games just so I could get reports from the 49er's game.
The Chargers actually went to the Super Bowl one year but were quickly and decisively crushed.

Have to admit, LT looks like the greatest running back since "Sweetness", Walter Peyton and Gale Sayers before him. Look out San Diego.....The Chicago Bears are coming again!

Walter Peyton was a joy to watch. One of the greatest ever.

I loved the 85 Bears... but I'm going to have to root for the AFC West since that is where the best teams play. ;)

That would be a great Super Bowl... but think about this. The Bears will most likely meet up in the NFC playoff schedule with the Saints. If the Saints win the NFC, well, then you have the Saints with Drew Brees -vs- the Chargers with Philip Rivers. Now, wouldn't THAT be sweet!
