BAB

b-tchin’ About Baja

Just got a couple of emails from friends who used to be contributors to the Board but who are now only lurkers.

We had an interesting discussion concerning the attitudes of some who when things go wrong or are just not most pleasant in Baja. It seems that they begin to blame everything and every native for the problem/s. The question became why folks do that and we sorta decided that we had no clue.

I did remark that it was kinda like marrying a beautiful lady and then finding she had a huge mole on her burro and with that discovery coming to hate the lady. No! even premarital sex, what with the rush to consummation, would have not revealed the flaw without more, in-depth
exploration of the territory.

Over the years, I have found many flaws in the lady we all ‘love’ and name Baja. I have been able, in most cases, to realize that many of the flaws only add to the experience of discovering them. It is sad that some just can not seem to help themselves and compare this lady to some other ‘perfect’ lady that really only exists in the imagination.

I submit this as a testament of my continuing love for this lady who I found when we both you young, slim, and most happy to share our lives. We still enjoy each other, wrinkles and all.

My smidgen of a claim to fame is that I have had so many really good friends. By Bernie Swaim December 2007

LOve to LOve....

love to hate....hate to love....hate to hate....

Your love for Baja is omnipresent. It's obvious! Trust in ours!

Gosh Bernie it's worrisome.
I realize were all so different in our expession(s), but cha-know, it's just constructive dialog. It may appeal to you or not, and yes, caca happens. Some woulld agree that this last year more than any in many has been at the top of crappy ones.

Many folks are feeling angst so obviously present with the political environment these last few years. That also includes Mexicos' present domestic problems. It affects us at the street level and spills over onto and into this forum indeed .
Hell,we're all guilty as charged. You too my friend. That's not a bad thing though, because that's how we find solutions to problems. It takes people to fix problems. If they are not brought forward then how can we deal with them intelligently. This is a people place.
Should we or they sweep it under the carpet? Not me.

I am convinced that this place has all the makings of a good reference to address pressing issues we can relate to in"today" and ordains in our daily lives .
AS far as all your worries go, I think you have few. Tell the hens not to cluck so loud! This too will pass.

Been here and there, met and worked with lots of folks along the way.:)Haven't found the "perfect" place yet.:)It doesn't exist, nor do perfect people, but some places are way better than others.:bounce:
