Ecomundo-transient compound now?

Was just talking to a friend last night who was in the Mulege area for a few weeks. He claimed that Ecomundo has basically become a camp for transients from all over the map. Supposedly, they are using all the structures including the main building, the kayaks, etc. He described them as an unsavory lot; believe he used the perjorative term "hippies"..

Even a couple from, gulp, France! :O

Also hinted that there is much animosity by the residents of Posada towards them. Range war over the hot springs brewing?

Can someone help me separate flack from friction?

there were a lot of people staying there over the holidays. god forbid some of them were hippies. yes, they did break out the kayaks but none were taken. there is trash over there left from their stay but nobody is there now. the signs have been takrn down so hope that helps. the owner, who is in thialand, is aware of the problem but cant do much from so far away. the real problem will come over easter. sorry no range war but the people that live by the hotsprings had to ask a few people to leave. ecomundo is not in good shape as some of the huts fell down during hurricane. some of us were concered about large campfires. as i said it is empty now and if someone is walking their dog and see someone staying there they inform them that it is closed. hopefully the owner will hire somebody to caretake it and keep the majority out. he needs to get on his website and say that it is closed. one couple over xmas, yes hippies, reschered all places to stay and came up with ecomundo. had no idea it was closed. flew all the way from backeast. oh, by the way this is mrs roundtuit so call me names not mr roundtuit. he says if i dont keep my opinions to myself he is going to get me my own handle.

Thanks for the info, Mrs. Tuit. You are so right....Roy should update his website and call it closed. Would solve much.

If you are forced to take your own name, how 'bout "squared off"?
