His Blogs are rather wordy, but at the same time, not too bad and also insightful

"It was a dark and stormy night and I found myself inching along in the lanes of the dreaded TJ border crossing....."

Quote:
Wednesday, January 31, 2007
Entering the USA at the Tijuana-San Diego border is not a very pleasant experience.

Obviously the border crossing is not well enough organised to handle the many people crossing. This results in chaos. A hectic and nervous turmoil.

Hardest victims of this unfortunate situation are the immigration officers working at this border crossing. Their work conditions are rather appalling. Consequently they are bad mooded, unfriendly, suspicious and very ungallant.

The immigration officer first encountered getting into the process of crossing the Tijuana-San Diego border works in a booth. A run down booth. A small building without any conveniences and demonstrating misery. This man has to work outside where the air is saturated with the fumes of the thousands of cars. No wonder he doesn’t reply when greeted: “Good morning, Sir”. No friendliness but suspicion. Many questions asked in a slightly aggressive way. As if a criminal or potential terrorist is trying to enter his country.....

In the Secondary Inspection area many Immigration Officers are around. All heavily armed and many suffering of obesity.

I've read Michel's blog..... and I don't particularly like what he has to say about most people. Every other line is disparaging and filled with inuendo, unless those people happen to be from his (or neighboring) country of origin.

PacificoBob,

I'll try and lead you through ........Key word is "TRY"

Open Photoshop.
Open a photo you want to reduce in Size and or Bytes
Open a photo you want to be smaller than the max 50k allowed here.
Go to the "Image" pull down menu.
Select "Image size"
Select/Check the "Constrain Proportions".
Select/Check the "Resample Image".
Tab down to and highlight the "Print Size" "Width" box and select a size smaller than the current one.
ie: Width 18" inches Change it to ...?? 8" inches? The "Height" box will change at the same time, accordingly to the size of the "Width" selected.
Click "OK".
Go to the pull down menu "File" select "Save a Copy"
Name the copy the same name as the original and add a number to the name.
ie: "Beach" becomes "Beach1" (just makes finding it that much easier)
Choose a "Format" to save it in. I find .jpg to be the easiest for most purposes and usually one of the smallest.
Then click "Save"
A new "JPEG Options" window will open.
Select a "Quality" to save. 0 is the Lowest/Smallest and 10 is the Highest/Largest.
"Format Options" should be set to "Baseline Standard"
Click "OK"

Hope this helps
