I saw a similar vehicle down in Baja last year, although it was silver, not green.

Pretty impressive though!

What do you think.....maybe three miles to the gallon???? Or less???

How does one get a vehicle past the Canal? Are there ferries that cross?

Hook

Its my understanding that on the other side of the canal its a Nomans land, So they have ferries from Columbia to Panama.

Farasha
Its a lot bigger than a Unimog. They use those for support in the Dakar rally.
That no mans land between Panama and Columbia is called the Darian Gap. For a real interesting story about it read "Obsessions Die Hard" by Ed Culberson. It is his account of riding across it on his BMW R80 GS.

Yes Farasha, that's what it looks like. Have seen several here in Baja over the years. Usully owned by Germans or Austrians traveling the world. Those things go about anywhere. However, they aren't nearly as comfy as the 40 ft monstrosities we produce.:bounce::bounce::bounce::P:P:P

Vandenburg
Look at the pictures again. I quite clearly says on the grill "MAN". It is made in the Netherlands. It is twice the size of a Unimog.

MAN - Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nürnberg ===
That would make it a German Company, just like Unimog.
Other than that you guys are right - just a little bit ouside of my monetary comfort zone

and...interesting sidenote is that the first ever American team to complete the T-4 class at the Dakar Rally did it in a MAN L90 last month. No other American team in the 29-year history of the Dakar Rally had ever finished in the T-4 Big Truck Class...until the MONSTER team did it.

The team comprising of a driver/navigator and mechanic were all SCORE off road racers providing support on the race course to Robby, of course racin' the H3 all the while racing the MAN L90. Driver was 5-time Baja 1000 co-driver of Larry Ragland, Tom Geviss and the navigator was Class 10 racer - Will Higman while Robby Gordon team member - Paul Mischel handled the mechanic duties...

Those MAN L90's are cool stuff for us diesel geeks...that camper MAN is sweet!
