Ray's new place at Mulege
We saw a sigh for Rays new resturant as we were driving into Mulege a couple of weeks ago. It's on the right as you go over the first tope heading
south into town. We took the turn off and followed the signs for the resort Hacienda de la Habana. It's about 2.5 miles off the highway. 2 miles of
dirt roads which are being improved. Just follow the signs for the resort. You can't miss it. The resturant wasn't open yet. Still under construction
but close to being compleated. Ray said it should be open on the 5th of May. We checked out the resort and he has a beautiful lawn with hookups for
RV's, a pool with a bar, a couple of rooms for rent and citrus trees. It's in the farm country and is a different perspective of the area. I'm sure
the resturant will be of the same quality as the one on the beach.

Ray's
His new place in the country sounds great. A while back some pics were posted on the forum that showed them rebuilding at Santispac. Is Ray reopening
there also?

Ray is not rebuilding in Santispac. His new restaurant, La Habana will open on Cinco de Mayo. His rancho and hacienda w/RV park is
beautiful....also about 10 degrees cooler than town in the summer.
By the way, it is in a completely different area and many miles away from Bruce's place.

Yes. At the end of the pavement follow the signs to Hacienda de la Habana. About 2 miles.

Sounds like a great place...can't wait to check it out. I hear the views are terrific from the dining area.

Does anyone know anything about Ray's pet policy??
Remember, when in Mexico, yes may be no and no may be
maybe!

I don't know if he has a pet policy. He does have a rather large friendly German Shepard running around. I don't think he would have a problem with
pets.

So...guess we best take a trip out there today and check things out for ourselves.
Head out the ice-plant road and turn left..follow Ray's signs..a couple turns....about 3 miles mas o menos..a little bumpy, so go slow....and you are
there.
Ray's 'Habana'...will be open soon, we hope.

Pompano. Do you think the distance will be a distraction for his "old" customers? Since not being on the "highway" I'm wondering if he'll be able to
get any gringo traveling north or south to take the time to "drive out"??? Did you get to talk to him to find out what date he's shooting for?
I thought you had sold out? Did you find another place????

Hi Phil.. we are still at same old casa we have always had...been here since the earth cooled. On Ray's,the distance out to Ray's is not all that
bad. Pretty sure most all Ray's old customer's will still make it out there, as well as some new ones. I don't know about the north south traffic or
whether he is counting on that or not. We didn't see him around when we were there, so I don't know about any opening date.

Baja Winters
We took several groups of RV clients out there last season. The place is great. Ray has put together a very comfortable hacienda. Our clients had
trouble with their large rigs on the road. But Ray is for sure working on getting that changed. His new place looks awesome and I'm sure it will be
even an improvement over the beach. Right on Ray!
