How Many Amigo's de Nomad
A while back someone asked the question, “How many Nomads have you met.” I watched and listened, but did not reply because I chose not to list those
that I could remember because I knew that I would miss a few and that would cause a small hurt that I would rather not inflict on my fellow (I believe
that denotes both genders) Nomads. So many of you I have met only on this board and had to use my imagination to flesh out the person that flowed out
of the words and thoughts displayed here. Others I have spoke to via U-2-U’s and enjoyed that thoroughly.
Some I have chanced on while traveling in Baja and many I have met at Keri’s over the years.
Folks from the tip, the Vermillion sea, those who fly in and other who sail to points most of us will never reach.
If I had to guess I would say that I have met almost---well perhaps---nah! never even half of the guys and gals that David K has happened upon.
I still count myself so darn lucky to have shared the most wonderful place in the world with so many fun loving folks. Eighty years old to six and
they all have the same smiles and the love for Baja just flow out of their eyes as we talk.
This week I met a bunch more and so many that have attended in past years……….Fun people, caring folks, and those who are so sure of what Baja hold for
them.
I only feel comfortable in mentioning very few of the many that I consider friends.
David K has already been mentioned so I will now add Doug Means a guy so young that he could be a son. I listened to this wonderful man talking to a
few at the signing and his thoughts were not to fun, but rather to what would happen to this board should he wander off in an untimely manner. Not
really the thoughts of one so young, rather the thoughts of a father that cares………Yeah! I know it will be peee………….okay upset him at those words.
Another is a man whom I consider one of my closest friends, even though we have not really conversed that much……With him I just look into his eyes and
see his heart and I believe that he does the same to me…..Antonio Munoz who has learned so much about people from his father.
So many others jump into my mind….a few of them so new that I will reserve judgment for a while yet…….but ones from both sides of the border who share
my thoughts and make them deeds……………”Baja is about People Helping People”
So before we left this morning, at 0430 dark………I wandered out to the balcony, watched the waves, listened to the sounds, and gazed at the millions of
stars and realized that they represented……………..The Nomads of this board.
Saludos!

Bernie, I have never met you, but somehow I feel you are my friend. After all that BS. Who would have thought. The fact is it is hard to get to
know someone over a chat group. I have this to say though, I have looked at several different boards, and it is very rare that one gets along as
good as this.
Doug, I hope you can make this work. I have total respect for how non-commercial you have managed to keep this forum.

I was hoping to meet Nomad moderator 'Hose A' to thank him (Gene) in person for giving Doug a break and a hand managing the 4,000 of us Nomads!
