Dave Chalmers has passed away

I just found out that Dave Chalmers, known as "D.C." to many, passed away earlier this month. DC was a Coronado resident and was best known for his surfing dog Max. The full story is below...

Back in high school I had the opportunity to go to Scorpion Bay twice with D.C. He was truly a living legend and had so many great stories about traveling through Baja and surfing back in the day.

I grew up in Coronado with Scott Chalmers. His dad was always cool with the kids and fun to be around. Everybody always talked about DC and Max, but there was way more going on inside his head than just the dog stuff. They lived a couple of houses up from us in the 70's. I'm sorry to hear of his passing. He was always one of those people that you wish you could run into again.
