Greetings from a Newbie
Just wanted to say hello and thanks to one and all for the wealth of info on this site. My wife and I are two of the many baby boomers that are
stepping into the baja lifestyle. Ok, I've read enough to know that a rosarito condo isn't exactly the true baja lifestyle that you've enjoyed over
the years but coming from Las Vegas, it'll sure work for my wife and kids. They prefer condo camping don't ya know. I've also learned here that to be
safe it's probably not a bad idea to put a bumber sticker on my car that reads.."I support my local drug lord!" Want to show respect to the real
authorities eh? Seriously, I check this site everyday and really enjoy it. It has
helped a lot. Perhaps my wife Cathy and I will have a chance to meet some of you in the future. Our condo should be ready by August.

Hello Danny,
There are lots of different Baja Lifestyles--something for everyone which is one of the great things about Baja.
One could ask the question, "What is the True Baja Lifestyle," and sit back and watch the fun.
Hope all goes well and you enjoy your new condo.

Hey Newb, Welcome!
If you look you will find a poll that I made. It's true Baja is many things to many people.
I forgot to put
"Rosarito Condo" on there but that could be "Other"
Ofcourse the only thing that really matters is "Fishing"
Enjoy!

Greetings from a fellow condo owner in Rosarito; we've owned for 8 years, and we get more and more fond of it. At this point, we're seriously
considering being there full time; we're already there 7 mts. out of the year.

Oh! You're looking for true Baja? That would be South of the 28th Parallel which should actualy start at Catavina.
But seriously, the real Nomads prefer going further South. Where the weather is 10 degrees warmer. (Less Gringoes and crime too)

Hi DannyRose, I let my kids vacation in Rosarito over the past 27 years and we went as a family almost every year, so times college got in the way as
they got older now it's their work. Great jumping off spot to get to the other places in Baja, take the drive down. I started to buy so many times
but I just can't decide which area of Mexico to put a second home. Thinking about just taking my 5th wheel and staying at different R.V. parks until
I find a spot that I just know is it. I know it will just be a gut feeling when it happens and hopefully my wife gets the same gut reaction. Life is
but another turn with something new to interest us though. Hope we meet up some time maybe at next years book signing at the Pyramid that Keri hosts.
This seems to be one of the best times to meet the most Nomads at one time. Later-------------bajafun777

Danny, first thing, try to learn the local slang, not the real proper Spanish. It has gotten me into places no gringo would normally be admitted to.
