Born in California
1945. Left only for Military service and a short period in Mesa, Arizona working for my Mormon Relatives. That got old quick.
My Father was born in Los Angeles, my mother in Hollywood.
My Father's antecedents were mostly from Arizona and Utah where they arrived from Nauvoo, Illinois.
Earliest known paternal antecedent was born in 1636 at Bedford, Mass.

Born on a wheat farm in North Dakota
Eighteen years in Santa Clara
Friends were musicians in the Haight in the sixties, cheap rent and nice people. Still love The City!
First trip to Mexico on back of a 250cc Ducati Diana Road Racer with my twin Brother, New Years at the Blue Fox and then Ensenada to "sleep it off"
Then two to three weeks per year throughout Mexico for the next thirty some years. My brother for past fifteen years in Queretaro. California and
Mexico in the blood.
The rest, Oregon.

That's a great picture of the town, Ken. I've walked on that wall before and it's thickness is really impressive. Actually, I was born on the
Adriatic, about 60 miles south of Dubrovnik in a town called Kotor. Kotor was hot stuff 800 years ago and had it's own kingdom as I recall. It also
has ancient stone buildings and walls but they're deep inside a fjord and not the tourist attraction that is Dubrovnik. If you have a picture of Kotor
please post it. I would like others to see it's beauty.
Some of the more scenic places have become a playground of the rich. The islands have been converted to casinos. My fear is the Conception Bay will
have a similar fate some day as the seascape is similar. There is still time to protect baja.
found it:
