Not to Worry

:bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce:

Wow! After reading Captain Mikes verbal slapping of myself and fellow Nomads I almost deleted my original post—a thing that I frankly dislike when anyone does it. To me it is a bit like revising history—you know like our politicians and others do to cover their tracks.

Thanks Captain for slapping me back into reality. I guess I will call and have you wisk me off into the clouds far above the worry’s of the masses huddled far below. Nah! Really have far too many things, except money, to do to work that into my schedule.

Thank you Doug for continuing to feed our collective addiction and allow us to escape the mundane existence that we would otherwise be forced to endure.

I would say that this addiction [is] a rather healthy one that allows all who contribute to help others, to learn, to laugh, to lighten the boredom, and yes--even for some to feel superior.

Like I always say, "Baja is about Friends Helping Friends!" Thanks to all of you for you for the for all of the help. I'm sure you know that I really need it just to be able to continue to laugh with and at life.

Edit added the word [is] for we all now know just how important that simple little word is--IS!

Have a great day! I sure is.

Question about editing: What happens if somebody quotes a post, but then the original post is deleted? It seems to me that once a quote is published, the original source post should not be able to be deleted, or edited. Rewriting history can have very confusing consequences...

History

Yes, history is written by the victor, not the vanquished. I remember when I first read "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" and realized my history classes were largly hogwash.. CaboRon

Yes CaboRon, the point you make is about the victors and the consequence of rewriting history. My question was more of a practical nature about this Board. Here, it is the "vanquished" that would be erasing or editing their own history, giving the "victor" more opportunity to fabricate or distort the past.

Really agree with you here as you can see by my post.

amir if someone deletes at the head of the post it makes for much confusion because it ends up having no starting points--just ending points and folks don't care for this.

If someone deletes at some later point that is not so bad because the original post has more than likely morphed into an entirely different post that will be unaffected by the deletion.. I think!........ Perhaps!.......You think!
