Cypress ~

You are so right. That's why my friend and I did not say anything about what we saw until I told my brother-in-law who was in the military at White Sands, NM. So he told me about Roswell. Did not help the 10 year old sleep any better. :O :o

My husband has been of the opinion that people who see UFO's are mentally ill, drunk or altered in some other fashion, or simply liars. I assured him my 10 year old self was none of those things. Led to some interesting discussions. Think he almost believes me now after 19 years together.

The big probalm with UFO reports are there are 50 times more false reports than real ones. there are real ones I know this for a fact but they get ignored becalus of all of the kooks filing the false ones. that is why it is important in this case to investigate so all the good folks up there dont get tagged with some kind of a label.

No Bruce, it was NOT happy hour...we were going to bed and just checking the horse when we saw the eerie glow...that's all I saw and asked about...and as we get up at 5:30 am to work, we were not about to jump in the pick up and investigate...it's an hour drive to San Pablo on a bad arroyo road. Now, do those fuel dump thingies disengage from the rocket and drop off, could it have dropped off near us? Do they burn up? I figured if it was something burning it wouldn't have been sooo white in color and when I gazed through our binoculars I could make out what looked just like fog..kind of dropping down, spilling over the mountain then receding a bit...changing shape like fog does...but it was only in one small isolated area and very bright...I don't think we would see the rocket launch from here and it was obvious it was close to San Pablo...the mysterious fog. Thank you for the rocket launch info...maybe it was something dropped off from that.
Oh and now that the gato is out of the bolsa....a huge warm welcome to the jdtrotters who are brave souls to endure the UFO's, earthquakes, and wind. They have already become part of the Asuncion familia! I was gonna call you when I saw the freaky show but knew you'd have your phone off.
