That is a rather drastic example.........Would it change your mind if I told you they would be putting cats and dogs to sleep if their owners had not
had them neutered or spayed and that to 'protect' the animal.
Forget it I would rather not see either run over or even have to pick up the mess that is left.
My smidgen of a claim to fame is that I have had so many really good friends. By Bernie Swaim December 2007

I would rather see a human run down in the street than a dog. I sincerely mean this. | You should move to
Las Vegas, where running down humans is almost a spectator sport

Drastic? I think not.
Yes. Put them down in a humane, painless way. Overpopulation ruins their image.

Do they handicap that? How about bleachers?

A test:
Your dog and the child of a complete stranger are drowning. You only have time to save one.
Choose.

If he gives up details, the test won't mean anything.

Making Choices
I once had a discussion with a close friend regarding our VERY different attitudes regarding Dogs. I told him that, if I had to make that choice, I'd
save my dogs before I'd save his kids. In fact, I said, I'd save HIS Dog before I'd save his kids. Of course, I'd try to do both in that order.
Luckily, I'll never have to make that choice. It would probably ruin the friendship.
Often, people will say when I'm indulging my dogs "Oh, they're just like kids". My response is always "NO, I've had both and I'll take the Dogs
anyday".

dog fighting in the United States:

Unfortunately, there's a significant number of people all over the world that like violence. The first time I saw a pro football game live and up
close I wondered out loud to my friend if they had a gladiator show at half time.
I was disappointed they didn't.

Also about dogs, when I got married for a second time a few years back my new wife turned her pre-marriage grumbling about my dog into a "it's either
me or the dog" proposition. I refused to say anything and walked away. I later told her she shouldn't ask me that again. She got the point. She now
has her own dog and treats him as her child. Problem solved, almost. Now she's insisting that her dog is smarter than mine. Of course that's
impossible.

I grew up within a culture that appreciated both dog and c-ck fighting. I am no longer an aficionado of either, but I understand them. The fighting
c-ck and the pit bull do not need to be "trained" to fight. They are bred to it, it is within their nature. I hope that someday it will be bred out
of them. That will depend largely on our own evolution as as a species chosen to be custodians of this fragile planet.
All my childhood I wanted to be older. Now I\'m older and this chitn sucks.
