Welcome Aboard!

Here's a taste...

A patrol boat. They first came to check us out, then later up the coast we found them fishing for dinner.

Most of these "spires" as I recall were on the south end of the bay.

There is beach camping, nice snorkling, and we've caught a few cabrilla and fire cracker yellowtails. There are several very fancy houses there. Enjoy!

Can you say BEAUTIFUL

While cruising in our sailboat back in the '80's we spent days and days parked exactly where you see the boat here. Now we camp there 2-3X/year. I can't remember ever seeing another person camped there other than us, except two kayakers camped out once. Snorkeling is as good as it gets there. To get in there, it's a good idea to have a 4X4 but not always necessary

Our little favorite spot is by the only tree you see to the left. Can you say PEACEFUL:biggrin:

The newer program Doug uses no longer permits the creator of a thread to delete it... You can ask everyone who posted a reply to delete, but why? The photos are wonderful...

OK with me David, I just took the ID's off of mine. Let the followers find it the same way we did. When the Spaniards have it all in tees and greens, it'll be easy to find. :(

Casa Manzana's photos are fantastic... I hope they get posted elsewhere if coolhand convinces everyone to delete.

David, I asked CH to delete this thread. Let the developers discover this place on their own. Casa Manzana does look to be living the baja dream though. SI!

I love that there are destinations left to discover for one's self without GPS fixes and internet stories.
A fished out sand pit a stone's throw from San Flip—that's one thing.
This tranquil beauty's another.

There was one bad thing there a few years ago...

We woke up to find the beach covered with dying squid, big squid, maybe over a thousand in a 100 yards...all over a foot long. They started to decay and we could not get in the murkey smelly water so we left two days early. A mating thing says google. Anyway, here's a pix of the road in. Takes about an hour at 10 mph...dream on if you think the road is all this good.

It's a very pretty drive in so be sure to stop and smell the ...what ever they are-

Now for little secret so keep it under ur hat...make a left turn just before you come to the San Juanico beach and in 5 minutes you come to Ramada Cove. Also a little creampuff place with volcanic caves that will hide you from the sun

Developers have already discovered San Basilio - I have seen the master plan . . . ay carumba! Fortunately the owner of the whole bay is decidedly eco-friendly.

I remember San Basilio (apart from its total beauty) because that's where I tramped on a stingray, staggered to the shore and in my last moments of sanity, extracted the sting (about a yard long - or maybe I was hallucinating) with my Leatherman and drove in agony to Loreto.
