CasaManzana,
Thank you for the advice and all the beautiful photos. Can't wait for Fall, and discover for myself.

After looking at your photos, even my wife is excited. We spent a week in Las Animas a year ago and loved it. However the wife did constantly complain about the restroom situation, or lack of (she has bad knees).

Also, all the "what ifs" scared her. "What if we get bit by a rattler, or stung by a scorpion, or robbed, or the car breaks down." All legit fears, because we usually fly solo. I have to explain that with the rattler thing, we have an extractor, we are only 1 or 3 hours from help, it will be painful but we will live.

Now, if we get bit by a rattler, stung by a scorpion, robbed and maimed by banditos and the car goes to chit all in the same day, we may have a problem.

Anyway, despite the last scenerio, upon seeing your photos, the wife promised to never complain again if I take her to San Basilio...

elgatoloco,

Yes, on this trip we are getting one of those (poties). We have always used the bag (and really everyone who camps should), but without the proper support and bad knees, ouch....
