Don't worry Shari; they will come.....
You have helped to start a small economic boom in Asuncion.
We, Trotters, Birdogs, Zoe, Eric have bought on first or second site.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for our piece of the dream.
Many others will come to visit, fish, surf, explore and love your world.
I am certain they will come ..... get ready !!

BTW, how's the road paving coming ??

they are onto paving the next 10 km stretch now from the turnoff but you still can't drive on it. Looks like Christmas is gonna be a real bash this year with all of you here. Deck the halls with boughs of cactus....fa la la la la

Shari, if Bahia Asuncion needs a "Chamber of Commerce," I would nominate you. The place sounds wonderful, and your generous spirit only enhances that. And don't despair about your business: more residents=more visitors. Heaven forbid, you may have to build a high-rise!

gracias amigo but no high rises here, not after all those earthquakes..we are sticking to rock houses or wood too. We really are enjoying all the visitors who have come out and look forward to meeting more nomads soon.

Lots of changes coming to Asuncion.
I suppose with all the visitors, Juan has had to cut down on wearing his "thong" around the house ?!?! :lol::lol:

"Build it and they will come"

Asuncion is being discovered. You are in the heart of it!

Building infrastructure ain't glamorous, but in the long run it is what pays the bills.

You have great options for people who want to visit Asuncion and enjoy it's yet unspoiled beauty.

You and that place are in our hearts and we will return!

Sorry, I know how you feel. We have very mixed feelings---we love it just like it is, but also want to share it with others. It's like the talk about continuing the main street paving down by our place and around the beach edge with a malecon---we have very mixed feelings. We really like looking out our front porch at this

Shari, we have no doubt that your business will grow---especially when that road is paved --- more tourists will come----a mixed blessing.

See ya soon, neighbor
Diane

On Edit---we found out one fact we really enjoyed. There used to be a pig farm in the area so the little surfing beach in front of our area used to be known as Pig Beach---love the name.

Hey Shari, don't convert the Beach House to a cantina until after we get there and leave at the end of August!

We are very excited to come and see you, I mapped the trip out the other night, looks like 563 miles door to door, no problem!

Haven't had a bad trip yet....

Shari is right about it being a special place. Mrs Birddog and I fell in love with the place and can't wait to make it our home. I agree with Diver that we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping our dream come true. OK Shari breaks over back to work on our place.:tumble:
