Toneart, and Paula,
I had the same problem with my PC and I downloaded whatever it was needed, I just followed the instruction that kept appearing on my screen. I think it is a new version of the Windows movie viewer that can view slide shows like the one in this thread. I am now able to also view other videos that before were not coming up at all. As technology advances, the software that runs these devices have to be periodically upgraded. For more info, ask a techie, which I'm not...

I Googled "Codec" and it is a downloadable file that will decompress large files. WMF has automatically offered the download but I declined.

My PC is almost as old as I am and I give it the same consideration as I would myself; Don't over-tax the short term memory and conserve the hard drive for when it is really needed. ;)

I am a newbi on the BajaNomad site and cannot believe what I've been missing. Your La Paz piece was excellent. You have captured many of the reasons we love La Paz as well. We spend nearly all our time between La Paz (Isla San Jose) and Cabo Pulmo but as the pendulum has swung between the two, we seem to have settled in Buena Vista. It's all a beautiful experience, each place having their own special attributes. Thanks for sharing.
