Beware: high-speed potholes, Tijuana toll road
I hit a BIG pothole (one of two next to each other) in the 1st lane (right-hand) at the end of the toll road into Tijuana centro, at a speed of around
60 km/h. It broke the right-front shock mount off the frame (second time during my trip, first time same mount was welded earlier by a Mexican
soldadero deep north in Baja).
So if you're taking the toll road into Tjuana, avoid the right hand lane.

And it sounds as if you were going a reasonable sixty klicks ...... And on what is essentially a highway. Not good for anyone ..........

I was decelerating from 100km/hr getting ready to exit, then boom. I thought my solar panels on the roof broke too. Then I heard and knew it, the
familiar sound of the loose shock absorber hitting the front RV floor for miles, everytime the RV bounced enough.

The Blvd. 2000 (BC 201) is the only way to go for us now... Otay Border to Popotla on Hwy. 1 (Fox Baja Studios)... Will be even better when the access
to Hwy. 1-D is completed... Until then, it is a 6 mile drive on the free road to get onto (off of if going north) 1-D at Puerto Nuevo.

Roberto, it turned out that the Bilstein shock had frozen and was compressing less than 2 inches and no more (should be compressing more than 6 inches
as it is an extended articulation offroad shock). When did it freeze, I don't know if it was after it came off the first time or after. That
Puertecitos/Gonzaga drive took a heavy toll on the shocks.
The first time, it was not the(my) welding that failed; it tore the 3/16 brackets welded to the frame. This last time, the welding gave way. But the
welding fix by the soldadero was better than mine, I think.

David, could you please give more details about your Blvd2000 route after you come from the El rosario festival? I had a hard time finding my way
around Tijuana, even with GPS.
