Split-thread and newer (and civil) Nomads

I want to express a thanks Gene (Hose)) for enabling the two subjects to continue and evolve, as they should. Gracias Larry(Lencho), your quest and interest in gleening and sharing knowledge has benefitted us all and it just gets betta.. Kudos for your serious thinking and contributions that help keep this forum aligned and on track. Ditto for the hosts.
With that said, I would also like to acknowledge the trove of relatively new "thinking people". This age of information is mirrored intensely in places such as this forum. That is what I seek and like to partake in. Combine that with myriad interesting subjects and photos and stories I see a continuing enjojable conduit for my habit thru yours.;D. In short , thanks for being civil no matter what is said. IT doesn't take a whole lot to shake up this family.:wow:

THanks for bringing new light to the board.

Visiting with friends

Interesting that you should bring this up just now; it mirrors my thoughts exactly. It feels a lot calmer to me than it did several years ago. I am very attached to my daily visit(s) here, and I enjoy what I learrn from the experts. It has opened up a new world to explore, and that's about the best that it gets for someone like me. Most of all I enjoy the kidding and jokes much better than bad tempers and jibes.

Sharks, Just who do you think you are, telling us how the board operates? What makes you so high and mighty? You're a membrick, a sjhumler, a cramacy and a lot worse -- why I could go on for hours I, I ....... I can't type any more I'm so angry.

Just kidding, I'm a kidder.

You're right, of course and I'm encouraged because more and more posters are using English. We are losing our language and when that goes it is the beginning of the end. If you want proof, just look at all the lost civilizations who lost their language > the Zorn, Gruskylungs, Porthas, etc.

Thanks

Yes, I would also like to commend the board for the way the two threads were allowed to each move forward .... Thank you for providing this Forum with the gentle structure that allows ideas and discussion to bloom in a safe enviornment . CaboRon

The board was much more fun a couple years back when there was more controversy and different opinions. All the newbies are pretty tame. I suspect many of them are part of the generation where everyone got a trophy just for showing up...

The troublemakers either got banned, got banned and then reformed, don't post anymore, or died. I guess the CCG won??

I so miss the hurling of invective, spite and edifying contempt. I used to learn so much from those diatribes.

George, you're making stuff up again. Better check your rearview for the Fiction Police.

:tumble:

Speaking for myself, I can't get enough bickering. Bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker, bicker . . . .

I concur with the concurrent concurrence. ;D Thank you, Sharks. I too am pleased with the degree of civility in the exchanges here, particularly on topics that have the potential to go awry with emotion. Here, the ideas and the emotions are wonderfully displayed and are allowed to be freely expressed and constructively criticized at the same time. Also, thanks to the moderators.

Oh, and the (sometimes lame) humor is also either tolerated, occasionally embraced or mercifully ignored.

Now, to all my adversaries: :P

Cave in to CCGers

Never!:lol: I always got some laughs from all of that bashing but never learned too much from it.

JZ, it certainly was entertainung to say the least. I would have to disagree about the opinion part of your post. Seems to me that opinions are many just that nowadays some of us can learn good stuff before it becomes trashed and people bail.
Personally I think the CCGs went NaNa because theres's just too damn many Nomad mouths to feed(and water).;D

Besides, we all manage(save a few) to stick our swimfin in ours mouth now and then. It's a good thang. It keeps us humble.

Back at ya....

:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P
