hahaha, starting at 3/4 of million. What a deal. Can you imagine all the nice places in the world, much better than La Paz, where you can buy a condo
for that kind of money?
Hawaii, Caribbean, Detriot, Guerrero Negro, the possibilities are endless.

Larry, a couple of the shots from the hillside make it look a little like Balandra. But I agree with you, it IS hard to tell location. I know that
there is a "coming soon" type of sign overlooking Balandra & I've heard ugly rumors that the cove has been sold & is going to be developed...which I personally feel is a crime. That area is loaded with mangroves! Not
to mention that it is (or should be considered!) a national treasure of a local beach. It's one of the most beautiful beaches around here. It could
also be the last cove just before the long curve around to Balandra. The name alone implies it ought to be closer to or in La Paz, like maybe before
La Concha, but I don't think there are any coves of this size until after La Concha. The pics are confusing because there are so many of La Paz, and
because there are so many pics of what is assumed to be an existing facility....I've been out to Tecolote within the past month & I didn't see any
new development like is shown in the pics. But there are new (to me!) signs on the hills above the hwy in several places that I didn't take the time
or couldn't read the names. It's interesting, because that far out, it'd have to be solar or someone is going to drop a bundle to get electricity out
there! And it certainly doesn't strike me as a solar kinda facility! Awwwww, go for it Larry, hit the contact button & ask EXACTLY WHERE IS
THIS PLACE & is it off the ground yet?

The only thing I have been told is that it is in the vicinity of Marina Costa Baja.......whatever that means.
I also know that Snell Realty, the real estate company for all the high end developments along the Cabo corridor, is opening an office in La Paz and
they will be representing this project. I have been told that the $1M+ properties are selling well in Los Cabos. It is the " low end" properties
(under $1M ) that are soft right now. The thinking is that La Paz needs some
"high end" inventory. I know of one person in Los Cabos who has put his beachfront condo on the market for $1.3M and has a $2M house in the planning
stages on El Mogote
I think most of you know that there are active plans for a 6000 home development at Bahia Los Muertos, now called Bahia Los Suenos. It will include
golf course (s), shopping, etc.
It appears that La Paz is going to be getting the "Los Cabos" treatment for better or for worse. Next there will be "in fill" development along the
East Cape and all the way up to La Paz. Be prepared, it's coming along with the "boomers." I know about one super secret development on the East
Cape that is in the planning stages. It is going to be ultra high end.
Please don't shoot the messenger here. I am not a realtor or developer or related to one. I am only sharing information. You all know what you
learn on the golf course, local bar, grocery check out, etc.
Someone facetiously mentioned GN........its coming - nothing specific yet.

Looks to me like it may be across the highway from the La Paz Pedegral development. (Only a guess though.) The photo on the website has a jetty that
even looks like the rock jetty that is currently there. When we drove by last month they were building a large structure there but not sure what.
I think the world is run by C- students.

Looks like Balandra/Caleta Lobos
[img] [/img]
Larry and others...the photo attached is Caleta Lobos from the hill between it and Balandra. The website under "vision" has this identical bay. And
the gallery shows Balandra from this vantagepoint also. As you drive out to Tecolote, there is a road up to a new cell tower (now gated) that
overlooks both Balandra and Caleta Lobos. A nice hike up there and great view. Caleta Lobos has extensive mangroves and big lagoon behind it.
Scrape out the mangroves (like the Magote project did) and you expand the beach. Lots of Bobos certain times, but lots of insecticide will take care
of that.
We anchor there a lot (one sailboat is ours).
La Paz has certainly sold its soul, Magote, now Balandra.

I agree,
there are pictures of Balandra. I was just looking at the photo on their home page with the jetty that has the dogleg on the beach. I guess we'll just
have to wait until someone here buys a new condo and lets us know.
