FOR SALE: DIRECWAY DW4000 in LORETO

Hi there,

I have a Direcway DW4000 satellite internet system for sale!

I want to give it up because I no longer use PC´s and the DW4000 unit doesn´t support MAC.

The DW4000 is a bit antiquated but it does work well. If you are in the Loreto area I can install it for you and give you advice on how to keep it running. I ran this system on solar power with 12V through an inverter for a couple of years and currently with AC power.

The parts contain the satellite antenna that will need to be mounted in a secure and clear area, the coax cables, the box which connects to your conputer via a USB connection, the power cord and the CDROM with the programs.

The account is in my name and set up on the satmex Satellite at 117W.

There are no Direcway certified installers in Baja except for one in tijuana who set up my account. I pointed and configured the system myself and am confident that I can either do it for any buyer or at least walk you through it.

It will be easy to change the account and payments into your name.

This system is fully upgradable to the DW6000 or DW7000, but it will still work well for your needs if you are located off the grid. You will be able to download files off the internet very quickly but uploading is about the same rate as a dialup connection, however it IS doable and I´ve maintained my website with this system or years.

I am asking $300.00 US plus shipping costs (and set up service charge if you need it). If you live in the Loreto area I will deliver for free.

I forgot to add that the monthly fee is $59.99USD and due on the 17th of each month. I will pay tomorrow so you´ll be good to go for a free month if you buy now!!

Please contact me via U2U

You might consider upgrading to the HN7000S and then your MAC would be supported all the way.

The closest certified installer for Hughes systems is a whole lot closer than Tijuana.

I just don´t want the system anymore otherwise i would have upgraded a long time ago. this system works well now but I just don´t want it anymore. If you´re a certified installer then you can easily install this system so maybe someone in your area needs this.

Basically night and day except for upload/download speeds.

The DW4000 requires its software be installed in the using computer, the HN7000S does not, it stands alone.

This makes going wireless very effortless with the HN7000S.

If you purchase this system and get an account in your own name, you can upgrade to the HN7000S for very little. You just need to give Hughes a 15 month guarantee of continuance.

If you purchase this system, I do recommend you upgrade to the HN7000S. You will be much happier.

OK seeing a few people have U2Uéd me to basically inform me that the system is worthless I would like to GIVE it away to someone who can use it.

I don´t think its worthless. To someone who lives off the grid this will work and get you connected. download speed is excellent upload there´s a lag that you´ll notice with skype or when uploading files to the internet via FTP. when sending e-mail or filling out forms online the lag time is almost unnoticable.

I would hate to just take this to the dump and would rather know that someone can get good use from it. This would be almost worthless to a Mexican becuse it takes a monthly credit card payment so it would be easiest to go to a gringo. It was never my intent to rip anyone off of deceive anyone. the thing was worth more than 3bills to me when I needed it. I kept you informed through hurricane John and my generator at least.

U2U me if interested.
