sentri online application

i just completed my application for sentri online. i clicked on the same website to get to the online application again to complete one for a family member and i cannot access the application. i get a "forbidden" page that states that i am not logged on to the secure domain or that i am logged on but don't have permission.
if you have used the online app did you have trouble filling out more that 1 application? did you have to wait to do the next application later?
i have tried accessing the website about 8 times, i get the same forbidden page each time.
thanks for your help.

SENTRI

We did our SENTRI on-line applications a couple of months ago. I did my wifes first (to practice,,,,hahaha) then waited a couple of days and did mine. Printed out the applications, filled them in by hand then used that as a template for the on line application Be sure to write down your application number, user name and password and all of your secret answers.

It took about 3 weeks for the conditional approvals, hers first, then mine several days later. Print out all of the stuff they have in your account (conditional approval number and instructions). I called for an appointment and got my preferred date and time. If you are applying as a family, let them know when you make your appointment....HINT: do not schedule for a Monday or a Friday (their busy days) and do not schedule between 1 and 3 PM as 2 PM is their shift change. The actual process (review and copying of documents, interview, photo, fingerprints and car inspection) took about 90 minutes.

Another hint: have all of the required documents and copies, sure speeds things up. Have your car clean, not packed with stuff, and they really don't like it if there is a dog in the car. Smile, be polite and everything will be fine.

If you are looking for a great place to grab some breakfast or lunch at Otay, there is a little deli in the shopping plaza just north of the CBP lot where you park your car. Another hint:...there is a sign stating "Road Closed"....drive past the sign and park in the lot on your right, it's marked for SENTRI or Port Pass parking.

finally got back in. just had to be patient. applications done.

bajaguy: thanks for the tips. how long after you got the approval did you have your appointment? did you leave the appointment with the sentri in hand?
i finally got the second application completed. curiously, i got stuck on the same questions on both applications. i kept getting page expired and my answers were not accepted. went about it several ways. probably answered those questions 45 times. it finally took.
i read somewhere that a non family member could apply and ride in my car. do you know anything about that?

More

We went in about two weeks after the conditional approval, but we could have gotten an appointment in about 2 days. Yes, we left with the SENTRI cards and the vehicle sticker. Anybody with a SENTRI card can be in your vehicle. They give you a copy of the rules, and ask plenty of questions. We didn't have any problems

anyone with a SENTRI pass can ride in anyone else's car if they also have a SENTRI pass (and the car has the SENTRI transponder on it).

Our neighbors applied almost 3 months ago and are still waiting...
