Hi! I now have my own Membership Name so I can get you information on SkyMed Air Ambulance Services. I have had nothing but great responses to this service. Living in Loreto for 16 years I know this is a good service, and have known more than 4 people who have had to use it out of Loreto in the past few years. The price is $360.00 per couple per year. Travel Clubs, Vagabundos del Mar Club Members get a special discont. Go to SkyMed.com/loreto for more information and online application. For Vags. discounts you must e-mail me at skymedloreto@gmail.com as it doesn't show on the application. If you have any questios please e-mail me.

Barbara
Just out of curiosity. Is that the premium for full time residents?

That is the policy for 180 days in a 12 month consecutive period. You have to notify SkyMed of the 180 days you want covered. There is a NATO policy for those of us who live here more than 180 days. The cost for a couple is $780.00 per year to cover 365 days. There are options you can add too. You can lock in the costs for 5 years and it gives you some fee options as well. Everything is going up..up..up! This is a great policy for Loreto Bay home owners who come down for the winter (180 days) from U. S. and Canada.

Hi Barbara,

For the 180 day policy....must the 180 days in Baja be concurrent? Or can we turn it on and off as needed?

Thanks for all the great information.

The 180 days can be turned off and on when you desire to be covered...you just have to notify SkyMed when you want to be covered....otherwise you aren't covered... Like Feb. June.....Oct. Nov. 180 days (6 months) in a 12 month consecutive time. Lots of times it will be for the winter..like Nov. thru April....for homeowners that just stay for the winter here in Baja.
Please go to SkyMed.com/loreto for the application.
If you are a Vagabundos de Mar Member or another Travel Club Member ask me about your discount. e-mail me at skymedlorto@gmail.com You must give me your membership number and I'll get you your discount...It is not online.

It sounds like one must contact SkyMed when leaving the the USofA or re-entering the USofA. Is that right?

It has nothig to do with traveling in or out of US. It is WHEN you want coverage....you can have it when vacationing in US, or other countries that are covered by SkyMed. You MUST notify SkyMed of the dates (180) per year...you want to be covered.
