Coco is hospitalized

Earlier this week (Monday the 19th), Coco was advised to get his leg checked out due to an infection that had taken hold, requiring his leg to be possibly amputated. So, he was given a ride to the hospital in Ensenada where he may have possibly had his leg amputated this week. A caretaker at Coco's Corner told our Baja Grande group this sad news, and his email address was posted on the wall in his Coco's Corner compound. I did not write down his email address, but I am sure someone in the Baja Grande group did copy it down. Our best wishes to Coco - such a nice man...

Do you know which hospital he's in?

No. The doctor who told him to get medical help lived in Gonzaga Bay. I don't know if the caretaker knows either. This part was a complete mystery.

I met him last spring. He was the most friendly man out in nowhere. After that visit, down to Gonzaga bay, the day went downhill.

Coco back Home

We just saw Coco at home this last Saturday 12/1. He had a hernia operation in Guerrero Negro.

A week and a half earlier, we were on our way south where we saw Coco in Rosarito arranging a ride to Guerrero Negro to see a doctor. He was complaining of heart trouble. He had just had a harrowing ride with a drunk who he made stop in Rosarito because the driver had almost killed them both several times on the road. He made it to Guerrero Negro with another driver later that day.

Last Saturday at home he seemed fine but I've seen him better. He was in good spirits though, asking me to bring him some more photos.

Make sure you stop by with some photos and good cheer next time you're passing by.
