It's raining
at Bahia Santa Maria. The fragrance is incredible. It looks like we have much more on the way.

It's raining pretty steady in Mulege. Sounds good on the tin roof.

In TS we had a short one overnight and now, 7.30 it started slowley again, but looks like that it could match up to a good steady rain for a while.
Yes, and it smells great.
The grass is always greener....
and so, there is always a better spot in Baja

Yes, after a couple of hours of rain night before last..... it has been raining for several hours now in La Paz.... At first I thought the tinako
(sic) was leaking on the roof, and I was pleasently suprised to find it was actually raining.... the air smells so good (not like dust).
This is my first rain since moving to La Paz and I love it

Well, I'm not letting Capo Beach scoop me..........
Been falling the SJC at a rate of maybe .25 inch an hour for about the last hour and a half. One brief break.
I love waking up to the sound of rain...........it's been so damn rare here in SoCal.

Here in Oceanside (San Diego County, CA), I woke to the sound of rain at 5 am and it has been pretty steady since... some even hard rain... (it's
about 8:30 am now)...
Even though my business thrives on dry weather and I work outdoors (not today), we need the rain bad here in Southern California... I welcome today's
rain (because we just finished a drainage system in Escondido yesterday)!
It always comes after the fire season and so we get mud slides because the brush that holds the earth on the slopes is gone, burned away.
I am sure Baja California can benefit as well...

Rain drops
It is sprinkling here, barely even wetting the ground. The weather channel says more tomorrow.
I love clouds!

Fairly heavy rain since early morning here. It's beautiful, and we need it, but I wonder what it is doing to the road to San Javier? The festival up
there will be starting tomorrow morning, with people walking from Loreto Mission to San Javier Mission, and lots of people driving up too. I'm hoping
to go up on Sunday, stay till Monday if it seems safe to drive.

Is this much rain at this time of year normal for the Mid-Baja area? Been
raining fairly hard all day.

Think I will skip the drive up to the mission this year, that road is going to be a mess. The folks walking up have all my sympathy, thats a long trek
on a muddy road.

I've heard that it isn't unusual, though it hasn't happened the past two years. Three years back Nov and Dec were wet in Loreto.

Raining steady here all day so far today in San Diego North County. It smells a bit like a wet ash tray outside - all the rooftops, roads and other
structures are finally getting all that ash from the fires wash off.
Drive carefully out there - the roads will be very slick!

Is THAT what that smell is? I thought it smelled funky when I went outside...wet ashtray describes it perfectly!
