Still raining in La Paz.
It's been pretty steady all day. Nothing hard, just a nice light rain.
I think the world is run by C- students.

Yeah, the various weather services really blew the predictions on the amounts of rainfall up here. Every forecaster on the 11pm news was predicting
.10-.25 total, as well as the NWS. Many areas passed that amount by 10am and it has actually been increasing as the day has progressed.
Massive area of moisture; look at this!
Image is updating and not too relevant now. Deleting.

Drove from La Paz to Loreto this morning and had rain all the way. From Constitution to Loreto very heavy at times.
Satellite shows more on the way and some "heavy stuff" for the southern part of the State, from La Paz to Cabo.
Dry in Loreto at the moment.

this is the hardest rain and heaviest wind I have ever seen in many yeas here...it is raining very very hard and blowing now more than 30-40 knots and
I fear the palapa will fly away very soon...the surf board took flight a while ago....super nasty...worst storm I've ever been in here...holy
crap....why didn't we know about this thing...we should have boarded up the windows as it looks like they might shatter in this SE
wind...damn...hfeavy wind with rain has penetrated all south facing windows and doors, we blocked off the door with plywood but are now in the middle
of a full fledged gale/hurricaine...luckily I assisted an 86' yacht take refuge in a secret hurricaine hole behind San Roque Island...they are
anchored there now sitting pretty and very grateful! This is TOOOO weird

Based on reviewing the sat photos of the last few days, Shari, it looks like some cumulus clouds have formed in the midst of this low pressure system
that has been very evident for a few days.
I dont think your winds and heavy rain are going to last as long or be as intense as even a tropical storm. I'll bet it's pretty localized.
Small comfort, I know............

Just started really raining here. Not heavy just steady, straight down rain...the kind we like...no wind but dark skies. I can barely see the
mountains.

The La Paz satellite shows you're in for a good solid soaking for a few hours.
But isn't that just the way we like it
And usually wish for much more of this

spanish (El cielo esta cayedo), it's allmost like they have never seen rain before, but it has been a while.

In Todos Santos, it rained lightly almost all day. A little heavy in the late afternoon, then stopped. We had a sunset but it feels like its going to
rain tonight. Right now, the winds are howling in Las Tunas. Our mexican friends are calling this ekipatas ??? Something about strange December
rains. The desert plants are singing tonight and by morning the frogs will fill in the song...... Green is on the way

Very cold, and wet, and blowing like stink, here in beautiful Quilcene, Wa., at the foot of the magnificent Olympic Mountain Range in the always wet
and cold Pacific Northwest.Working outdoors each day as a house framer in 32 degree weather, we really enjoy a hot buttered rum at the end of the day.
Mixed snow and rain forcasted for the Washington coast thru this weekend, and temps droping into the high 20s for tomorrow. North Cascade Highway will
close due to 90 kt winds forcasted. Enjoy ++C++

Rained half an inch today in San Felipe. However, it didn't stop us from attempting our Friday Desert Run.

Drive carefully out there - the roads will be very slick!

Wow, I've never quoted myself... anyway, the wet ash smell went away as we had almost 2" here at my house. Washed all that ash away! But, I now see
that I have one of my gutters to clean out. We had puddles all over the place in our garden, but it ALL soaked in to the ground - so thirsty the
ground was for this. My two avocado trees are so happy now!
