What constitutes a worthless Baja thread?

I had a sewing kit I took to baja once. Some of the thread colors didn't match any of my clothes. So it was pretty worthless as far as baja thread
goes.

WORTHLESS BAJA THREAD:
It seems to me that any thread, no matter the color, that does not stand up to the rigors of backroad Baja would, by definition, be WORTHLESS.
