Sooooo, Judy, I am in for the adventure and getting out of town for the day, I don't see why I couldn't make it in Feb. I have been thinking about the legistics of my getting to this party and back North to Los Barriles same day. I can catch the 8 a.m. bus to San Jose, and the last one returning from San Jose to L.B. is 6 p.m.

Than there is the possibility of a cab from the bus station? Any idea as to how far, how much they would run from the bus station to your place? I don't suppose there is a urbano bus that runs near your neighborhood. I can easily enough bring a coverd dish, just don't know what yet. I can for sure bring my own chair, I have one of those foldables that has a back strap. What's a byob?

Any other Nomads from Los Barriles attending? :dudette:

Or Nomads from La Paz go by way of El Triunfo? :saint:

Car pooling? :bounce::bounce::bounce:

I can take the El Triunfo road and pick anybody that fits in my truck betwen La Paz and SJ.

Thanks RichnLinda, I forgot to answer that :?:

So you guys get your rides together. I can pick up anyone who comes on the bus...no worrys. And no chairs nor tables for the bus riders.

So think about what you want to bring as a brunch dish. Anyone with special diet needs, speak up now!

I leave thurs for a minimum two week road trip so we can firm everything up after that...ok?

This will be fun...anyone else going to be around?

El Jefe, can you guys join us?
Acuity?
Oso Flojo?
Osa?
Dr Tom?
CaboMagic?
Sallysouth?.....Juanita et al?

Hi Judy

We will be in Baja for month of Feb. We would like to come by and say "hi"
Saludos Kim and Cyndy Garvin

It is cold here with lots of snow we can't wait to get down to Los Barriles!! That said , skiing has been good , but we don't like the cold so much any more . See you in Feb.

Be down mid March to Mid April. Weather is much warmer that time of year for drinking Pacifico.

So far so good

Glad that more people are coming. This could be a lot of fun.

I just sent this to Osprey who is helping with this event:

I will furnish a couple of cases of beer and there is a deposito within walking distance if we run out. I will also buy a few bottles of red and white wine. I will make two fritatas...heck I dont know what you call them but I make a potato crust and then put eggs with goodies on that a bake it...as I said a quiche with potato crust. I will probably make one with chorizo and one without. I will get some baguettes from the french bakery, also.

Akbear, thank you for the offer. And even though I know that it would be great riding with Jesse,( I met him once at Lee's in La Paz, he is very kind, intellegent and interesting to talk with). Still, what you say makes sense, and is very practical, after all we are neighbors and you are good company taboot, practically speaking, and that would free Jesse up to bring someone else from La Paz.

Sounds like this is coming together real nice Judy. I am still thinking about what to bring, How about a deep dish Apple Crisp? That is sort of a covered dish, transports easy enough and besides it is something I make well. What do you think?

Byob, oooooohhhhhh, bring your own beverage, it is the simple things that always get me, jeje, a well easy enough.

Looking like first and second week of May. I am looking forward to taking it more slowly v. my frantic real estate trek in Sept '06. Hope to meet some southern nomad hospitality. I'll bring beer and wine.
