Tripui Fire?
I just got a call from a friend who tells me his place and everyone elses place burned down in Tripui. I am buying a place there and he called to ask
if I sent the money yet.
Any one else heard about this. I consider this source very reliable but would like to hear from others as to the veracity of this report.
Thanks in advance for any news!

Jorge, I posted your 'news' on Vags, as there was nothing yet there... Usually anything going on at Tripui makes the Vagabundos board... like the
labor dispute of a couple years ago.

It is true. Many of my friends lost houses, boats and vehicles. My prayers and thoughts go out to them and I hope noone was hurt.

My wife was out on coronado island yesterday with a group of friends and they could see that tripui was ablaze, but we still haven heard first hand
as to the severity of the damage.
My heart goes out to all who may have suffered losses.

Jack Swords has posted a message on Fred's board that he talked via short wave radio to locals there and the place did have a serious fire. Sounds
like it is pretty much destroyed.

I just returned from a drive over to Tripui, and sadly the picture posted by LaTijereta is very accurate.
All of the palapa type structures are razed to the ground. everything west of the main gate is gone.
It looked like the buildings to the east of the main gate were undamaged (from what I could see)
I havent heard anything about injuries, we can only hope there were none.

It is Tripui RV park on the road to Puerto Escondido, however, all the structures were"permanet"and some occupied year round. There is, or was an RV lot
along the road just outside of the permanents.

The Fire
Looks like my area except the oaks are replaced by palms. Wonder if any of the relief organizations could help. I know several that have and are still
helping here in the mountains of San Diego, travel all over Mexico and so on helping Should I ask? I Volunteer a ton up here and have gotten to know a
lot of these people. Let me know what people need and what we can do to poss. help out. The picture was such a reminder of the Cedar Fires. I do have
connections with Salvation Army. heck I past there FBI ck to be an empolyee during the fires. Denied any payment said it need to go back to help all
those who lost more than us.. Still help with them. So let me know who knows all they can say is yes or no.
