AROUND PUERTECITOS

Traveled South today from KM40 to Campo Christina, South of Puertecitos.
1) Maria's Tacos at Caesar's is now permanently closed (que lastima);
2) Emilio's Restaurant has great food. Make a left at the street just before the grocery store. Drive stright to the airstrip which is fenced. Make a left and follow road around airstrip. As you parallel the airstrip, heading South again, make a left and go to the top of the hill to the "Tecate" sign and you've arrived. Open 5-1/2 days a week. Closed Sat. afternoon and Sundays -- enjoy.
Traveling South again --
3) Pick up the old road at the PERMANENTLY CLOSE PEMEX STATION, -just to the outskirts of town where 3 additional KMs being built to the West and over town;
4) As you drive through town and over the hill, large truck traffic working on the road moves fairly fast and crosses back & forth over old road-BE CAREFUL HERE!
5) Campo Christina Restaurant permanently closed.

We turned around at this point as our buggy brakes went out. Thought my husband was crazy when he filled brake fluid line with a bottle of TECATE, but it got us back home to KM40, where he drained line, etc.

Have a great trip traveling South from San Felipe. Slow down for the 3 BAD DIPS!!
