Headin' south to visit some Nomads and mine for stories

Well, my friends I am just a bit excited because I have just returned home from the printers where I took possession of my latest attempt to capture some of my thoughts on Baja so that I can share them with all of you.

This one is just a little book, nothing fancy, of about 75 pages. I have titled it, “Bernie Talkin’ Baja” with his Nomad friends.

As I said a few weeks back—I have had it printed to be given away (yes, that does mean for FREE) to any Baja Nomad who would like one. All you have to do is drop by my table at the May 3, 2008 Baja Authors Book Signing Event at Keri’s Pyramid Resort and give me a smile.

It’s not much but it does allow me to share some of my thoughts and to thank all of you who helped me deal with my wife’s passing.

I’m sure Keri will be sending out a flyer with the particulars before long—sure would like to swap a few tales with all of you.

For those of you who hang out in Baja Sur I will be carrying a few copies when I head down, driving with a friend, your way on March 27th. So far that is the only thing that is for sure and we will be over-nighting in BOLA on that date. It now looks like I will be staying in Los Barriles for about a week and then flying home.

I had planned on spending a few days visiting Nomad friends in La Paz—now it looks like I will make another trip down, shortly after the book signing, and spend about a week wandering around La Paz in mid May. This time I will be flying both ways so I’m hoping I can hitch a ride with a few of you…………I’ve been warned and re-warned about the crazy drivers in the City of Peace.

Sure would like to visit with as many Nomads as possible during these two trips. When I get the dates locked in I will post them here.

copy. You could leave it at Tecolote Books... care of Janet for Marie-Rose!!

If I can't hook up in GN I will try to get jdtrotter to bring a few down your way, If anyone else wants a copy in your area let me know so I can twist jdtrotters arm until she becomes a paper-person.

Marie-Rose............I hope I can get over there and am sure that a few others there would like copies. Need to get some kind of count to see how many I need to haul to Sur.

The way things are going I just may have to order more printing before the May 3rd book signing at Keri's..............Guess for free is a reasonable price.....remember they are only for Nomads!

Bajadave1 your name is already on one.

Don't think any of you can realize how I am looking forward to thess trips........they have been far too long in coming.

Plans have changed (is that not part of the fun of Baja) and we will be staying the night in GN so I will drop the book (s) off at the Los Caracoles Hotel on the 27th..............The lobster part of the trade will be later when I come down with Dave of the late Nuevo York Deli.

Glad it worked out this way.
