Had it not been for the Amigos Board I don't believe I would be going to Loreto. I met Skeet Haggerton on the Board and he walked me through all the
things I need to know. I now have a Mexican Corp and a piece of property in Loreto that I hope to build on......You will always be welcome by us in
Loreto....look us up, George & Deborah, NYC Bombero, won't be hard to locate.....Thank you Baja Nomad for giving all us Amigos another site to share

Thanks to Earle, Eric and Trish, I for one know I wouldn't have been spending 1/10th the time in Baja I have in the last 2plus yrs. since being
invited to the Amigo's board. I've met many new friends thanks you all. You will be missed,but, I know I'll be running into you again 'Down Baja
Way'

My sincere thanks go to Earle, Eric, and Trish. You created and operated the most dynamic Baja information center.
It was our exchanges on Amigos that lead some of us to meet in person. Later to have the Viva Baja get-togethers (where many of us met you three).
Soon, many personal and Internet friendships were created, thanks to Amigos.
I know it hasn't been all fun, what with a few always complaining, but I hope you see all the good that came of your efforts and we really did
appreciate your service.
Please keep your domain name so that no other organization can do harm to the positive reputation you are leaving behind.
Perhaps, some day, you folks may even do something again with it.
Thank you again so very much... I hope you will continue to join us at Viva Bajas or BBBBs, as before!

I'm glad you checked out this site.
I've been thinking about starting a new topic here geared toward language/vocabulary stuff but I'm not sure how much to chew off to begin with.
There are already a ton of websites on castilian spanish - maybe just a vocabulary list of words that are kind of unique to Baja - origins of place
names would be kind of interesting too.. I guess I'm hesitating because some of the types of words used on the peninsula aren't really my expertise.
Any ideas? If I start it I hope you can contribute a lot - I get the feeling you know quite a bit of coloquial lingo.
BTW - My mauser's fine dude.

Sounds interesting and I'd contribute when I had something worth it. My Spanish is, for better or worse, colloquial (mostly chilango). I never
really had any courses in Castilian.

Thanks Trish, Eric & Earle. I was there most of the 8 years and it's been a cornerstone of my life AND kept me out of the bars (but not out of the
cantinas). I've enjoyed it all, even the stupid stuff when I felt like reading it. I have learned so much, met many new friends, even shared a few
